Frances was living in Richmond County at the time of her husband's death in 1922. By the 1930 US Federal Census she had moved with two unmarried adult children (Elizabeth "Lizzie" and Walter Franklin "Frank" McNeill) to Alachua County, Florida, where Frank was working as a carpenter in homebuilding. Also in the household was a grandson, James Fredrick Brown, son of daughter Ida Catherine McNeill Brown.
It is likely that Frances is buried next to her husband, Lonnie Waddell McNeill, at Bear Branch Cemetery but no record of burial has been found. His death certificate and obituary state he is buried there.
Note as of 22 Jan 2012: Cemetery was searched but neither Lonnie nor Frances found. A large marked plot exists for Lonnie's brother, Neal Archie McNeill, who married Catherine McLeod, sister of Frances, along with many of their adult children. An adult son of Lonnie and Frances, James L McNeill, and a 5-year-old grandson, Leslie Parker Brown, who both preceded Lonnie and Frances in death, were found at Bear Branch Cemetery with markers.
Many thanks to Findagrave photo volunteer Darrell for searching the cemetery and for the many photos of other McNeill markers.
