Regina Byam, age 95, died July 12, 2011, at Capital Lakes Health Center. Regina was born September 15, 1915, in Trauchgau, Germany. She left Germany in 1949 and lived in London for a year before moving to Milwaukee. Regina married Lewis Byam and was blessed with a daughter. She moved to Madison in 2004 to be closer to her family. Regina enjoyed and shared with family her love for cooking, her artwork and beautiful paintings, and her love of classical music. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and spent much time with them as they grew. We will miss her humor and caring spirit.
Regina is survived by her sister Leni; daughter and son-in-law Sylvia and William Brauer; grandchildren Laura, Andrea, and John Brauer; and nieces and nephews in Wisconsin and Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
