U.S. Congressman. He engaged in agricultural pursuits for many years and served as inspector of turnpike roads for Schoharie County, New York, in 1828. In 1831, he was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-second Congress, serving until 1833. After his term, he resumed his agricultural interests until his death at age 69.
