82 years 7 months old. Beloved wife Mary Jane (Sisson) Armstrong. November 13 1895 "Newspaper Dispatch" andover (Victoria Co.) Nov. 11 - An old and respected resident died here recently in the person of Barnabas ARMSTRONG. Deceased was born in the County of Annapolis, N.S., April 2nd, 1813. He came to N.B. when he was 16 years of age and located at andover. In a revival under the late Fathers Hammond and McMullin he was converted and at the age of 19 was baptized and united with the Baptist Church at andover of which Elder Hammond was pastor. Dec. 14, 1836 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane SISSON who has been a true Christian wife and who still survives. They had a family of twelve children, eight of whom who have passed forward to the better land, leaving one son and three daughters, 37 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bro. Armstrong was a beautiul singer. By request of the family the sermon was preached by Rev. Thos. Todd of Woodstock, assisted by Rev. Whitman.
