Elsie Balogh Mehlhouse, age 85, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Henry Mehlhouse, died in Bridgeport Hospital. She was born to Frank and Carolina Balogh. She had seven siblings, James and Elizabeth; they were born in Hungary as well as her parents. Frank, Alex, Helen, Edward and Bertha were born in Connecticut.
She is survived by her sons, Henry Melhouse of Bridgeport and Russell Melhouse of Stratford; her daughter, Linda Turner of Stratford; two brothers, Joseph Balogh of Southbury and Stefan Balogh of Fairfield; grandchildren, Erik, Melissa, Pamela, Shawn, Holly and Vanessa Melhouse.
Funeral services were held in the Frank Polke & Sons Funeral Home and in the United Church of Christ in Bridgeport.
