Mr Peter Bisson, Aged 66, died at a local hospital Sunday afternoon at 1:40 o'clock after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev George Stone from the chapel of Bernstein Brothers at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment was in Oconee cemetery. The pall-bearers were Messrs F J Ball, E J Smith, Jr, Dr M T Summerlin, Judge Milton Thomas, Craig Orr, Dr Marion Conolly
Mr Bisson is survived by his widow, Mrs Hattie Bisson of Los Angeles, Calif; three daughters, Mrs F E Merritt, Mrs Evelyn Childs, Miss Esther Bisson, Los Angelees, Calif; four brothers, Messrs J H and Bert Bisson of Athens; E H Bisson, Braintree, Mass; W J Bissom, Los Angeles, Calif; one sister, Mrs Emmelee Roe, Oakland, Calif.
Mr Bisson was a native of England. About six years ago he moved to Athens and made his home with his brother, Mr J H Bisson, who has been sexton of Oconee cemetery for many years.
Mr Bisson was a scuplter. His most recent work which attracted considerable attention was a plaster bust of Miss Mildred Lewis Rutherford, Mr Bisson was a sculptor of considerable reputation. In California, especially San Francisco and Los Angeles, several monuments were made by him for the city parks.
