Tracy Press-Mass was said Wednesday morning for Mrs. Christina Friedrich in St. Bernard's Catholic church by Rev. Father John J. Healy. Interment was in Tracy cemetery. Pallbearers were W. F. Sattler, Waldo Coffman, Charles DeFreitas, William Costello, J. Doody, and Charles Coyle.
-Mrs. Friedrich was suddenly stricken at her home, 236 West street, last Sunday morning. She was taken to St. Joseph's hospital, Stockton, by DeMark ambulance, but failed to rally and and passed away at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
-Born in Grein, Austria, in 1880, Mrs. Friedrich came to America in 1912. Her maiden name was Christina Muttenthaler. She married Mr. Friedrich in San Francisco in 1914. After living in Richmond and Brentwood the family came to Tracy in 1922. Mr. Friedrich operated the Central Meat Market here until he retired in 1932. He died in 1936.
-She was the mother of five children, two daughters and three sons, all of whom graduated from Tracy Union High school. They are Alfred, a lieutenant in the U.S. army now stationed in Venezuela; Herman, employed here on the Southern Pacific; Walter, now a cadet in navigation in the U.S. army air corps at Santa Ana; Gertrude, employed at Westlake Drugs, and Mary, now a student at a Stockton business college.
-One sister, Mrs. Rose Arnold, San Francisco, also survives. Mrs. Arnold and Cadet Walter Friedrich were here for the services...
