Irvin Murray, 62, Meyersdale RD 4, died September 2 in his home. He was the son of Owen and Hattie (Carter) Murray and was born December 17, 1898, Meyersdale RD 4. He is survived by his widow, the former Vera Petenbrink; 12 children: Mrs. Edward Bittinger, Salisbury; Maurice and Paul, both Meyersdale RD 4; Mrs. Melvin Sturtz, Wellersburg; Mrs. Dorothy Thompson, Meyersdale; Mrs. Orland Brafford and Mrs. Kenneth Wagoner, both Fort Ashby, W. Va.; Mrs. Samuel Hochard, Boynton; Roy and Mrs. Herbert Bucy, both Mt. Savage; Mrs. Harold Miller, Meyersdale RD 1: Karl, at home, and 26 grandchildren. There are five sisters and four brothers: Mrs. George Lepley, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. William Mankamyer and Alfred, both Meyersdale RD I; Mrs. A. L. Thomas, Saltillo; Mrs. Nannie Hare, Meyersdale; Mrs. Lydia Lockhart, Clinton, Ohio; Allen and Wilbert, both Meyersdale, RD 4; and Maurice, Corriganville, Md. Friends are being received in the Price funeral home until Tuesday 1 p.m. Services will be conducted Tuesday 2:30 p.m. in the Hostetler Church of the Brethren, of which Mr. Murray was a member. The Rev. H. Jones will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
