Obituary
Augusta Kissner Grunke was born in Bromberg, Germany, and died at the home of her daughter, Minnie Redetzke, May 10 having reached the age of 89 years, 2 months and 25 days.
From Germany she moved to Princeton, Wisc., and later to Owatonna, Minn., where her husband died, after which she lived for some time with her children at Sleepy Eye, this state, but for the last two years and a half had made her home with her daughter, Minnie Redetzke, west of town. She was a member of the Evangelical Church and was known as an earnest Christian woman. She enjoyed the best of health until about a year ago since which time she has been slowly failing. Her eyesight was unusually good for one of her advanced years and she was able to read without the use of glasses.
Three daughters, five sons and forty-two grandchildren are left to mourn her loss.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the German M.E. church. Reverend Bieremann conducting the service.

Gravesite Details
The date chiseled into the headstone says 1905 but in truth she died in 1904. This is verified by the published obituary and the data provided by the Historical Society at Granite Falls, Minnesota.
