Julie was the establishing owner and operator of Bishopsgate Inn, in East Haddam, Connecticut, in the 1980s. She was a graduate of Ferry Hall in Illinois, and Sarah Lawrence College in New York. For many years she was active with Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.
Julie had fought cancer for eight years, but lost her fight in Gettysburg on July 3, 2003, with her son, Ethan, at her side.
Cause of death: Lung Cancer.
Ashes will be scattered in the Connecticut River, at the base of New City Street, Essex, Connecticut, along with her son's ashes after he dies. Her ashes are currently in his care.
