From Obituary:

Robert Stewart Gibson, son of Amos and Eliza Gibson, was born in Belleview, Iowa, November 27, 1854 and died at the home of his son Charles in Hull, Wednesday morning April 7, 1915, being 60 years, 4 months and 10 days old.

In 1862 he moved with his parents to Fairfax, Iowa and on December 24, 1876 was united in marriage to Sarah Jane Elliott. To this union six children were born, of whom two girls died in infancy. The four surviving children are Charles and William of Hull and Archie and Gertrude of Bruno, Minnesota.

Mrs. Gibson died at Viola in 1895 after which time Mr. Gibson made his continued residence in Hull.

Three brothers and one sister survive him, Abner, Amos, James and Mrs. Minnie Bowen. Abner Gibson of Mitchell, South Dakota, was the only one able to be present at the funeral which was held Friday afternoon April 9th, interment being in Hope cemetery Hull, Iowa.

Note: On a visit to the cemetery in 2010, I was unable to locate a grave stone for Robert. (Sue Ramsey)
