Judith Avant Antley, 70, died Thursday, Mach 17, 2011.

Born in Georgetown, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lennie Dargan and Esther Smith Avant.

Judy graduated from Winyah High School, Columbia College and received her Master's degree from the Citadel. She retired from Spartanburg School District 6 where she served as Math Coordinator for the district.

She was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church where she was very active in many areas of the church and played in the Handbell Choir.

She is survived by a son, Marcus Dawson Antley, Jr. (Betsy) of Barnwell; a daughter, Dana Michele Ulmer (Greg) of Simpsonville; six grandchildren, Trey, Will and Dargan Antley and Dana Catherine, Caleb and Claire Ulmer; a sister, Linda Avant Bruorton (Jim) of Simpsonville; a niece, Michele Frazier (Jonathan); a nephew, Chip Bruorton (Lindsay); and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mauldin United Methodist Church, 100 E. Butler Road, Mauldin, SC 29662; the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 811 W. Evergreen Avenue, Suite 303, Chicago, IL 60642; or to the charity of one's choice.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mauldin United Methodist Church Spirit Center. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the church with interment following in the church cemetery.
