Mrs. Beck was a native of Washington County the daughter of the late Leon A. Wood and the late Mamie Kate Renfroe Wood. She was the retired store manager for Kenwin Dress Shop in Sandersville and formerly worked at the Holmes Cannery and Union Dry Goods. Mrs. Beck was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville and she was an emeritus member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husbands, Edwin Rowell Corbett and Elmo Newton Beck and her daughter Eleanor Corbett Hickman, all predecease her.
Mrs. Beck is survived by; her children, Cathy C. Hulsey (Phillip) of Cumming, Nonie C. Veal (Thomas Jr.) of Sandersville, C. Brookins Beck Sr. (Sarajane) of Milledgeville and Elaine B. Williams (Theo) of Edgefield SC., ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a devoted friend of the family Emma Norris.
