CUBA--Frank Trecek, 97, Belleville, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at a Belleville hospital.
Mr. Trecek was a retired farmer.
He was born Jan. 22, 1902, near Cuba, the son of Charles and Christie Novak Trecek. He was a long-time Cuba resident.
He married Blazena Kouba on Aug. 11, 1924. She preceded him in death Dec. 13, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Trecek, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Neva Cardwell, Seneca, and Roberta Klima, Scandia; a brother, Louis Trecek, Cuba; three sisters, Anna Valek, Dundee, Ore., Lillie Baxa, Hebron, Neb., and Bessie Chizek, Cuba; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p. m. today at the Presbyterian Church in Cuba. Burial will be at the Kopsa Cemetery near Cuba.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba Presbyterian Church or to the Cuba Senior Citizens Center and sent in care of Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Funeral Home in Belleville.
