Stemper, Margaret E.Margaret E. Stemper, 95, former town of Centerville resident went home to her Lord, January 29, 2016 at Felician Village in Manitowoc.

Born March 28, 1920 in Town Herman, she was the daughter of the late Ulrich and Clara Bogenschuetz Schwoerer. She attended St. Gregory School in St. Nazianz, WI. On October 23, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage to Alvin E. Stemper, and the couple resided in Town Centerville where, together they engaged in dairy farming. The marriage was blessed with seven children. Mr. Stemper passed away February 14, 2003.

Margaret was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community in Newton WI. She enjoyed playing Sheepshead with family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, also spending time with her two dogs, Pepsi and Max. She also spent many hours in her garden and in her kitchen, cooking, canning, and baking.

Survivors include, three sons: Gerald (Judy) Stemper of Fond du Lac, Kenneth (Deborah) Stemper of Town Centerville, and Peter (Teri) Stemper of Manitowoc; two daughters: Diana (Wayne) Schuette of Town Centerville, and Marilyn (Greg) Martell of Manitowoc; one son-in-law: Jack Johnson of Manitowoc; ten grandchildren: Scott Schuette, Wayne Jr. (Amy) Schuette, Craig (Betsy) Johnson, Todd Johnson, Vicki (Sean) Allen, Brian (Julie) Stemper, Brad (Julie) Stemper, Jason Stemper, Lisa (Adam) Sukowaty, and Jacob Stemper; five step-grandchildren: Megan (Travis) Schaefer, Mathew Martell, Katrina (Grandville) Van Ess, Amanda Klusmeyer, and John Klusmeyer; twelve great grandchildren, and five step-great grandchildren; one sister: Loretta Vogel of Sheboygan, and one brother: Edward Schwoerer of Two Rivers.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, one son, Daniel; one daughter, Carol; one sister and five brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, February 4, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton WI. Rev. Michael Warden will be celebrant of the mass. Cremation and inurnment at St. Wendel Catholic Cemetery in Cleveland will follow at a later date.
