Bertha Gallagher Bates
Bertha Gallagher Bates, 61, of Patten, daughter of Raymond Gallagher and Clara Shaw Gallagher Palmer, died Thursday, April 10, 1997 after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Hersey, Maine.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Clara and Silas Palmer; one son, Keith Bates Jr. and his wife, Rosanne and their two daughters, Melissa and Alyson of Brewer; one daughter Lynn Anderson and her husband, William and their children, Nathan and Jessica of Patten; three brothers, Cecil Gallagher and his wife, Ada of Mount Chase, Raymond Gallagher and his wife, Jeanette of Hersey, and James Gallagher; and one sister, Gladys "Pee Wee" and her husband Fred Bates of Hersey; several nieces and nephews, one very special niece Toni O'Hara. She will be greatly missed.
Committal services will be held in the spring at Hersey Cemetery.
