Nick Weiter Sr. is called to rest in Manitowoc County

Nick Weiter Sr., age 71, life long resident of Manitowoc County, passed away suddenly Friday morning at 12:45o'clock on the Weiter farm in St. Wendel

Mr Weiter was born January 28, 1863, on the family homestead at St. Wendel. He attended the Catholic schools at St. Wendel and upon the death of his father took charge of the farm which he conducted until eleven years ago, when his son, Nick Jr., took over the farm. On April 13, 1891, Mr. Weiter was united in marriage with Miss Lena Klein, which union was blessed with eight children, two of whom preceded him in death.

Survivors are: his wife, three sons, Henry of Manitowoc, John of St. Nazianz, and Nick Jr., on the homestead; three daughters, Mrs. Herman Endries of St. Nazianz, Mrs. Frank Pribek and Miss Rose Weiter, both of Manitowoc. There are also twelve grandchildren.

Mr. Weiter was a faithful member of St. Wendel's church, and it's Holy Name society. He was a kind and loving father, much devoted to his home and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with a requiem mass at St. Wendel's church. The Rev. Father Halinde will officiate and burial will be made in St. Wendel cemetery. the body will be taken to the Weiter home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, after which it can be viewed there by relatives and friends until the time of services Tuesday.
