Mr. and Mrs. Frank McDonald, Mrs. Blanche Elder, Mrs. Zula Dean and sister Mrs. Pearl Smith attended the funeral services held at the Stinson funeral Home Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Rose Wilt, a friend of the group for many years.


Mrs. Wilt was a lifetime resident of Isabella County and had lived at 1015 South Lansing for many years.


She passed away at Central Community Hospital Christmas Eve after suffering a heart attack the previous evening.


She is survived by two children, Helen Burkema of Kalamazoo and Ted of Vicksburg and four grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Grace Thompson of Clare and three brothers, George, Joe and Earl Acker.


Her husband Hugh passed away Christmas day 1944.

She was born Rosetta Libbie Acker on 14 Jan 1888, Michigan. The daughter of George Edward and Harriet Sophia (Warner) Acker. Rose married Hugh Homer Wilt on 21 Jun 1910 in Coleman MI. They had two known children: Theodore and Helen Mae.
