COLEMAN MAN DIES AT HOME
Joseph L. Acker, 82 of Coleman died at his home Saturday, May 15 after a long illness.
He was born in Leslie, Michigan on March 15, 1883. He and his wife, the former Zelda Wilt were married in Coleman on March 21, 1905. Mr. Acker has resided in Wise Township since 1899 where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Gleaners and the Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 18, at 2 p.m. at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home in Coleman with Rev. H. A. Brannon officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife Zelda; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Letson of Coleman and Mrs. Bernahine Bechtel of Clare; one son, Eldine Acker of Coleman; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother Earl of Coleman and one sister, Mrs. Grace Thompson of Coleman.
