Eugene was a lineman for the Honk Falls Power Company, he somehow received a shock and was hurled from the pole and struck the top of a stone wall and then fell into the creek below. Interestly enough, his brother George also was killed working for a power company and was burned in a flash fire.
Eugene's mother, Emma Bell Geary, sued the power company for negligence but lost the lawsuit.
