OSBORNE HILL, JULY 31 - Mrs. Permelia Bixby departed this life last Friday night at 12 o'clock, after a lingering illness of six weeks. Just previous to her death she suffered a stroke of paralysis. She had reached the advanced age of 85 years and had always been kindly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. James Dutton. Funeral services were held at the Osborne hill church at 2 o'clock Monday. Rev. E. B. Palmer, of Litchfield, officiating. Interment in Osborne hill cemetery. The pallbearers were four of her grandchildren. Clyde Bixby, Walter Bixby, Earl Bixby, Schuyler Bixby, Frank Waterman, and Edw. Waterman. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. James Dutton, of this place, and Mrs. Deliverance Waterman, of Binghamton, and one son, Henry Bixby, of Nichols. She also leaves two brothers, Daniel Osborne, of this place, and Henry Osborne, of Evergreen, and two sisters, Mrs. Wait, of Wait's, and Betsy Osborne, of this place.
WINDHAM SUMMIT and VICINITY, JULY 31 - Mrs. Parmelia Bixby died at her home in this place Saturday morning, after a long illness, aged 86 years. The funeral service was held at Osborne church. Interment in Osborne hill cemetery. Rev. E. B. Palmer, of Litchfield, was the officiating clergyman. One son and two daughters are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother.
