Dies In Hospital
LIBERTY-D. Cleve Williams, 77, Route 1, Staley, died in an Asheboro hospital this morning.
He was a native of Randolph County and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for several years.He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Edwards Williams of the home; two sons, Lloyd and Coy Williams, both of Route 1, Staley; five sisters, Mrs. Clay McPherson of Snow Camp, Mrs. L. A. Edwards and Mrs. Willie Scott, both of Liberty, Mrs. Alex Thomas of Greensboro and Mrs. Louis Holmes of Wilmington: and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Talmadge Williams, Rev. Charlie Miller and Rev. Jack Duffie. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Loflin Funeral Home until the service.
