CORALVILLE

Esther L. O'Leary, 69, of 439 Holiday Rd., died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following complications of Lou Gehrig's disease. Services: 2 p.m. Friday at George L. Gay Funeral Home, Iowa City, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial: Memory Gardens, Iowa City.

Survivors include five daughters, Roleen Newton of Coralville, Barb OLeary and Janet Walsh, both of Iowa City, Donna Yeggy of Solon and Patty Eis of Ava, Mo.; six sons, Dennis, Eldon and Gary, all of Coralville, John of Riverside, Allen of Loveland, Colo., and Ralph Niemeyer of Bloomington, Ill.; and five sisters, Elsie Crandall of Iowa City, Hilda Lumpa of West Branch, Leone Nindorf of Waterloo, Elonora Swime of Tripoli and Leota Ike of Wisconsin.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 1973; a grandson, Michael; two brothers and three sisters.
