Funeral services for Mrs. Martha McKelvey, 45, of Inman, route 2, who died in a local hospital Saturday night following a brief illness, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Arrowwood Baptist church near Chesnee. The Rev. E L. Spivey and the Rev. W.P. Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Mrs. McKelvey was a sister of Mrs. Mamie McAbee of Inman who died Friday and was buried yesterday.
Mrs. McKelvey is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Poteat, Inman, route 2; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Abernathy; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Abernathy, Spartanburg and Mrs. Lena Alley, Ruthefordton, NC; four brothers, Fred and Paul Abernathy of Chesnee, David Abernathy, Inman, and Boyce Abernathy of Boiling Springs.
The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Derrell, John, J.B., Buford, J.C., and Alvin Abernathy.
