Born in Runnels,Iowa to Janthan Jerrod Beebe and Mary Jane Smith. A coal miner while in Runnels, and said to have worked with John L. Lewis(AFL/CIO Pres of Lucas, IA) he married Anna Boyles of New Virginia, Ia, March 13,1897. Moving to Des Moines in 1908 he opened Beebe and Johnson Express and Livery (1909-1910). In 1911 he became a contractor and reportedly worked on the Lincoln Highway from Des Moines to Marshalltown. In 1915-1921 returned to mining and thereafter listed as laborer in Des Moines City Directory. Sometime after 1936 he became a transient, gambling his wife's wedding ring and gambled away the crops in the ground. In August 4th of 1942 he was admitted to the Clarinda State Hospital, Clarinda and died there after 5 mos and 4 days.
