Bernice "Faye" Abney 81, Kokomo, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010,
at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 18, 1929, in
Herber Springs, Ark., to the late Homer C. and Lucy Dee Redmon. Her marriage to
Raymond K. Abney was on Jan. 5, 1951 in Hemlock.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond K. Abney; two sons, Keith D. and Robert R.
Abney; three daughters, Donna Abney, Betty Stahl and husband Joe, Beverly Jiminez
and husband Javier; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Abney; a brother, Byron Redmon and
companion Jan; and a brother-in-law, Milfred " Bill" Stewart; three sisters-in-law,
Anabeth Redmon, Ema“"Snooks" Redmon, and Delores "Tootie" Redmon; 17
grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, (Holly), Zachary, Shawna (Lionel), Jason (Jessica),
Jeremy, (Marlen), Angel, Chad, (Mindy), Lindley, Jackie, (Patrick), Connie, (Barry),
Ezariah, (Cindy), Nate, Shannon, Brandi, Danielle, Joey, (Michelle), and 35
great-grandchildren, along with serveral nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon and Rex Redmon; and
two sisters, Zelma“"Billie" Irwin, and Virgie Stewart.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725
S. Main St. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. The Rev. Harold Williams
will be officiating. Burial will be in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
