Palmyra- Henry Allen, 88 year old retired farmer of near this city, died at the home of his son, Hiram, near here about 3 p.m. Saturday.
He leaves seven sons, Hiram H. Allen, Charles H. Allen of Hettick, John F. of Carlinville, Chester of Roodhouse, Robert of Girard, Clarence and Elmer of Alton; and two daughters, Mrs. Rosie England of Girard and Mrs. Mary Stewart of Nilwood, Ill.
The body was taken to the Stults Funeral Home at Palmyra, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be made in Manchester cemetery.
