The family moved to Douglas when Mabel was a young girl. She was reared and educated in Douglas and graduated from Douglas High School.
She married William Sherman Dixon in June, 1926. Mr. Dixon died in 1962.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois Dixon Moore and son-in-law Robert of Grand Ronde, Ore.; sons and daughters-in-law William M. and Sue Dixon Sr. of Wyoming, Gene and Sydney Dixon of South Carolina and Robert and Patricia Dixon of Wyoming; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Anna Ballard; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Melvin, Emmett, Carroll and Daniel Otis; and twin great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Jessica Ball.
