Cora Paulson Haley was the first of six children of Christian Paulson and Petrine Nykreim. Born in Ulen, MN where the family lived until about 1909 when they moved to Moorhead, MN, as her father had been elected in Nov. 1908 to the Office of Clay County Treasurer.

Cora married Arthur V Flaten on Dec 27, 1920 in Moorhead, MN. They had 1 child, James Gordon, born on Dec 31 1923 (died Apr 26 2007). Cora and Arthur divorced. Cora moved out to Los Angeles, CA where her parents and siblings had moved about 1924.

Cora married Oscar M. Haley on Jan 12 1930 in Los Angeles, CA where they lived and raised 2 children in Santa Monica, CA.

Cora was a "Lady", always dressed very nice, never went anywhere without hair done, make up and jewelry on. She had a very good sense of humor, always a kind word, generous with time and talents, loved family. She is greatly missed.
