The same unit Milly's brother, Benjamin Franklin White served as a Fifer at 12 years old. Toward the end of that War both were stationed at Fort Moultrie SC, however, John was discharged at Charleston SC.

==================================================

MARRIAGE OF JOHN & MILLY:

1815 - John & Mildred were married Aug 23, 1815, by Rev Thomas Ray, who was also a member of the Padgett's Creek Baptist Church in Cross Keys Union Co SC. This marriage

date was on Milly's War of 1812 Application for military land grants.

==================================================

LAND RECORDS:

1820 - On Dec 2, 1820, Robert White Jr sold land to John Bullington, (Mildred White husband), on Kelso's Cr. of Fairforest Cr., 131 acres for $500. Roberts 1st wife Mary G. released her Dower. Recorded in Spartanburg Deed Book R., page 194-195 .

1825 - On Dec 1, 1825, John Bullington sells the above land on Kelso's Crk. for $650. This was recorded in deed book U, pages 253, and 194-193. This course was preparation

for John and Milly's move to Lawrence Co TN & Lauderdale Co AL.

==================================================

LAWRENCE CO TN:

1826 - John is on the Lawrence Co TN Tax list, just north across the border from Lauderdale Co AL.

==================================================

LAUDERDALE CO AL:

1827 - John Bullington died Oct 8th, 1827, in Lauderdale, is buried at the Lexington Cemetery in that county, though no grave marker has been located.. This date is confirmed, by his Will/Estate, and on his War of 1812, Bounty Grant application, for 160 acres, by his wife Milly, which was filed by the Notary Public, July 10, 1857, Saline Co IL, where Milly was living, at the time. the same documents, confirmed their marriage date, Aug 23, 1815, Union district SC.

1827 - John left a Will/Estate to Milly and the children, they remained in

Lauderdale until about 1833, then left the area, they first showed up on

the 1850 census, in Williamson Co IL, 1850, by 1860 Saline Co IL, near

the Ohio River, note here, Isaac Murphy, her Nephew wrote, in 1886 that

she moved to Ohio, however, was living near the Ohio River in IL...

CHILDREN'S NAMES AND AGES ON JOHN'S ESTATE PAPERS:

1832 - The children's names and ages are listed in John Bullington's Estate

Papers, January 1832 entry, by Stephen Howard, Administrator. Isaac

Murphy, first cousin of Milly's, in a letter of 1886, wrote that they

had moved to Ohio, but Milly was in Saline Co IL, NEAR the OHIO RIVER.

====================================================

1836 - MILLY REMAINS IN LAUDERDALE CO AL -

Also, confirmed, is after John's death, Milly remained in Lauderdale Co AL, for several more years.

====================================================

1850 census - The family then moved to Williamson Co IL, by 1850.

On the 1850 Census there was a Sarah A Bullington, 18yrs born in AL,

living with her son Benjamin, head of household, then Milly is listed

next, then Son William, and lastly, Sarah. She would have had to born

about 1832 AL, this would be 3 or 4 years after the death of John

Bullington, so, Sarah was not John's daughter, as Sarah is listed after

William, on the census, there is the possibility that Sarah was a wife

or relative of one of the Bullington sons, a mystery, maybe a wife of

the lost sons Robert or Newton, that may have died before IL.

====================================================

**MILLY APPLIES for a land grant, from her husbands service in the War of 1812.

1857 - C.H. Clark: Another witness on Milly's documentation was C.H. Clark,

he stated "...he knew the couple as man and wife, in SC and AL...". said "...he

attended the Burial of John Bullington...". Mr Clark was on the 1850

census in Lauderdale Co AL, and obviously, was there in

1857, to witness Milly's application.

1857 - Aug 11th--Robert Newton of Lauderdale Co AL, served witness and said

he knew John & Mildred Bullington in TN & AL, and also attended John's burial.
