Mrs. Henrietta Matilda Klein, 69, widow of Ernest August Klein, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter [Edith], Mrs. John Metzger, 242 Cleveland Avenue. She formerly resided at 1300 Butternut Street. Mrs. Klein came to this country from Germany at 16, and had resided in this city 53 years. She had been a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church since that time. Surviving are three sons, Herman, Harvey and Arthur Klein; two daughters, Mrs. John Metzger and Mrs. Clara Rivers of Ilion, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Metzger home by the Rev. Hermann G. Dattan. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

The family lived in the area of Prussia that is now part of Poland and not Germany. The parents were married and Henrietta along with all of her siblings were baptized in Bromberg Stadt, Posen, Preußen aka Bromberg, Posen, Prussia, now Bydgoszcz, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Poland.
When they arrived in New York, their previous residence was listed as Zawada, Preußen now: Zawada, Bydgoszcz, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Poland.
