Mrs. Alex Michaelis
Funeral services for Mrs. Alex Michaelis, 47, who died Wednesday morning at her home in Jetmore, were held Sunday afternoon at the Michaelis Church, south of Russell. Rev. F. Podzsus, pastor of the church, was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Michaelis Cemetery. Mrs. Michaelis was ill about two weeks before her death occurred. Until several years ago the family lived 13 miles south of Russell. They moved from there to Hoisington and about three months ago moved to Jetmore. Mrs. Michaelis was the mother of Gay Michaelis, who lives on the George Mellard farm. Besides her son, Gay, Mrs. Michaelis leaves her husband and three other sons of the home. Other relatives in this community are her sisters, Mrs. Fred Krug and Mrs. William Krug, and brother Jake Nuss.
