Sadie was the daughter of John and Mary (Brandt) Casavan.
She married Edgard Miller Brandeis in 1900. She had two sons, Arthur M and Louis.

Mrs. E.M. Brandeis passed away Thursday evening, June 9, at the Valley Rest Nursing Home and was buried in Seeley Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Sadie Brandeis, age 74 years, passed away Thursday, June 9, following a long illness with colon cancer & srterioclerotic heart disease.
Mrs. Brandeis was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 18, 1881. She was married there to Edgar Brandeis. They lived for 12 years on the East Coast and in 1913 they went to Chicago, IL, where they established their residence. In 1931 she and her husband came to Hayward, and settled in the Town of Lenroot where they built their summer home.
Survivors are her husband, Edgar; two sons, Arthur and Louis, both of Chicago, IL; one sister Mary Gregory of Batavia, NY.
The body lay in state at the Anderson Chapel from Saturday evening until Monday morning when it was removed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church where the funeral mass was held at 9 A.M. with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Walter Kalandyk officiating. Interment took place in the Seeley Cemetery. Rosary services were held at the Chapel on Sunday evening. Mrs. Brandeis was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Hayward.
Her husband, Edgar M married an Elizabeth Stone Jan 27, 1956.
