Hershel "Arny" Arnhart, 91, of Raymore, MO, formerly of Blue Springs, MO, passed away October 11, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. He was born November 28, 1919 in Augusta, KS to Ada (Carlton) and Versie V. Arnhart. He was a veteran of World War II; serving in the Army Air Corp. He spent his working career at Ralston Purina; in charge of the maintenance department. Hershel enjoyed flying Airplanes and playing golf. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Bird (Don) of Harrisonville, MO; two sons, Gary Arnhart (Rae Lynn) of Harrisonville, MO, Sam Thornburg (Bobbi) of Blue Springs, MO; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery located in Higginsville, MO.
