Hazel Irene Bunney, 88, died on Monday, October 10, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Clarkson Cemetery in Coyle, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Hazel was born on April 9, 1923 in Goodnight, Oklahoma to Vernie Dane and Lizzie Elizabeth (Weins) McGuire. She attended rural schools in Payne County. She lived in Stillwater until 1945, at which time she moved to Oklahoma City where she resided for over 30 years. She moved back to Stillwater in the 1970's, working at the Student Union and Wilhelm Hall. She later moved back to Oklahoma City.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William, George and Wilfred.
