Sue A. House, age 90, of Upper Fredericktown-Amity Road, Fredericktown, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 4, 1920 in Gambier, Ohio to the late H. Cleave and Fay (Pipes) Lahmon. Sue was a member of the Pleasant Grange, a 50-year member of the Gambier Pythian Sisters and a lifetime member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and UMW. She worked several years with Licking County Twig.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Diane) House of Fredericktown, two grandchildren, Tonya (Jeff) Ralyea of Blacklick and Brett (Sigrid) House of Lewisburg, West Virginia, five great grandsons, Michael Schaller, Aaron Schaller, Jordan Schaller, Jarod Ralyea and Justin Ralyea, a sister, Rose Wolfe of Gambier, sister-in-law, Beverly Lahmon of Mount Vernon and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death 15 years ago to the day by her husband, John W. House, a brother, Stanley Lahmon and a sister, Blanche Breece.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Keith Bohley will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Memorial contributions in Sue's name may be made to Hospice of Knox County or the Area Aging for Alzheimer's.
