Ralph John Moss, Jr., 77, of Idaho Falls, died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. He was a son of Ralph John Moss, Sr. and Hazel Roberts Moss. He attended North Davis High School and Utah State University. He served in the Navy as Chief Petty Officer 3rd Class during World War II, as a Lieutenant in the Army in Korea and as a Captain in the Army Reserves. He married Beverly Burningham in West Bountiful, Utah, September 20, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. She preceded him in death June 3, 1983. He resided in West Bountiful for 20 years, and worked for the Deseret Livestock Company in Woodruff, Utah. Upon receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science, he moved to Idaho and worked in Fort Hall for 3 years with Fort Hall Indian Reservation. He lived in Idaho Falls for 47 years. He worked as a County Extension Agent in Bonneville, Madison, Teton and Fremont Counties and retired as a Professor Emeritus at University of Idaho. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a teacher and Sunday School President. He also served as Secretary of Idaho Wool Growers Association, Bonneville County Cattleman's Association, and Bonneville County Wheat Growers Association. He was a member of Rotary Club, an officer of Idaho Cattleman's Association, chairman of Beautify Bonneville Committee and earned the "Silver Plow Award" from the Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed being a grandfather, fishing, fly tying, hunting and loved classical music.
