APRIL 23, 1885

Died at her home in Birminghm, Huntingdon County, at noon on Saturday last, Mrs. Barbara McCullough, widow of John McCullough, in the 80th year of her age. The deceased was a mother of 7 children. These were: Mary, the deceased with of James McQuaid, of Sinking Valley; Martha, wife of DE Robeson, of Lewistown; Rachel, a single daughter, who, with her mother, composed he family where the deceased had lived for over half a century; Andrew J., living at Derry PA; John F of Anaheim, California; and D.G and J.H, residing in Altoona. Mrs. McCullough had been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church for many years and was a woman worthy of the name Christina. She was a regular attendantat all the means of grace and always took an active part in the Sunday school. She had no enemies and during her illness many were the wishes expressed that she might be spared for yet a longer stay upon earth. During her last sickness which was for over a period of four weeks she suffered greatly from severe pain yet with a smile upon her countenance would say "My Father's will;not mine," and her last words to weeping family and friends were, "I am going home."
