Ronnie the son of Flossie Mae Woods and Curtis Woods (Deceased) came to Boston at a young age with his mother and two sisters.He was educated at Boston English High and Bishop Fenwick.From there he attended Tufts University and played college basketball.He later went on to play professional basketball in Paraguay, South America.
While in Paraguay, he taught physical education and English as second language. He also coached high school basketball and soccer.Leading his team to numerous championships as a coach.Upon his return to the united states, he continued his leadership in working with young children and adults at ABCD where he also taught english as second language also help coach and refereed the Pee Wee League at the YMCA. His motto was " Stay Focused".
His concern was for the younger generation of his family to excel in life and to continue their walk with God. Ronnie realized Jesus Christ was and is the center of his life, he accepted Jesus as his lord and savior.Ronnie Leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Joyce and Stephanie his mother Flossie Mae Woods, two sisters Mary Watkins and Brenda Woods and brother-in-law William Watkins Sr. and a host of aunts,uncles,nieces, nephews, great- nephews cousins and friends.A Memorial Scholarship for students has been established in his name by his dear friend Michael Rubin who is the Headmaster at East Boston High School in Massachusetts.
