Fred C. Stockmeier, 69, Newton farmer, died Sunday at the Holy Family hospital, following a brief illness. Mr.Stockmeier, son of the late Fred W. and Auguste Stockmeier was born in 1874 in Newton and in 1909 married Miss Zilla Rodewald, also of Newton.
Survivors are the wife, two sons, Reinhold of this city and Leonard of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Allyn Heinz of this city, Mrs. Herbert Lorfeld of Cleveland and Ruth, at home; two brothers, Ernst of Custis, Wis., William of this city; sister, Mrs. Herman Theilig of Colby, Wis., and three grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Tuesday noon until it is taken to the St. John's Ebenezer Reformed church in Centerville Wednesday at 11 am to lie in state until the hour of services at 2:00 in the afternoon. Interment will e in the adjoining cemetery.
