Jennie Bobek, 79, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Scott's Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, with Eric Boyd and Chaplain Gary Baxley officiating. Graveside services will follow at 12 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Following the committal service, a reception will be held at the home of her niece, Beverly Boyd, in Woodway. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Scott's Funeral Home.

Imogene "Jennie" was born to the late Arvest D. and Mamie Haddock Moore. She was married to Frank Bobek on Feb. 14, 1975. She resided in Waco most of her life, moving to Gatesville in 1999. Jeannie was a kind and gentle soul. She had a special love for family, children and her beloved animals. She and her brother and sisters forged a special relationship that spanned their entire lives. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh and love of life. Jeannie had a special relationship with animals and cared deeply for her pets. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own children and many of them spent summers staying with her and her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on Oct. 5, 1988; and her sisters, Juanita Lovejoy and Frances Wilkinson.

She is survived by her brother, A.D. Moore and wife, Connie, of Cleburne; and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
