Funeral services for John Sohn, who passed away Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Harlfinger, 1018 Huron Avenue, will be held Thursday noon at the Harlfinger home and at the Lutheran Church at Hilbert. The Rev. Mr. Heschke will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sohn was born in Milwaukee, June 4, 1848, and when he was united in marriage to Wilhelmina Blieveruicht of School Hill, the couple located on a farm near School Hill. His wife preceded him in death 20 years ago. About six years ago, Mr. Sohn came to Sheboygan to make his home with Mrs. Harlfinger. He was well acquainted in School Hill and vicinity and enjoyed a large circle of friends. For several years he was school treasurer and he also served as road commissioner for a number of terms. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Hilbert.
Survivors are two sons, John of De Pere, and Theodore of Green Bay; a daughter, Mrs. F. J. Harlfinger of this city, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Christ Mahloch of this city, and a brother, Frank Sohn of Plymouth.
John Sohn Laid To Rest Thursday After Last Rites
Funeral services for John Sohn, who died Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harlfinger, 1018 Huron avenue, were held at 12 o'clock Thursday noon at the home and at 2 o'clock in St. Peter's Lutheran church in Hilbert. The Rev. Kaschke officiated and burial was made in St. Peter's Lutheran church cemetery at Hilbert.
Pallbearers were George Kasper, Fred Boselager, George Wolf, Wenzel Suppner, Ed Kissinger and Ed Raddatz.
