"After an illness extending over several months, Mrs. Sallie Schlager (formerly Mrs. Evan Jones) passed away this (Friday) morning at the home of her sister Mrs. Ephriam Richards, on Fruit Ridge. Deceased was a native of Iowa, but had made her home in California for many years. Two daughters, Misses Ollie and Florence Jones, a father, brother and sister residing at Burlington, Iowa, a brother, C. C. Harrill, of San Diego, Mrs. Mary Gross of Los Angeles and Mrs. E. Richards of Fruit Ridge, sisters, are the immediate relatives of deceased. Mrs. Schlager was brought to El Dorado county from San Diego about four months ago in hopes that a change of climate would restore her to health. The funeral will be from the Richards home Sunday at 1:30 p.m."
