Jennie married William W McClure Dec 15 1853 in Allen County, Ohio.

In 1859 they traveled by stage coach with their two children John Allison and Mary Elizabeth to "Pike's Peak Country" for the Colorado Gold Rush. It wasn't until three years later that William went to Pike's Peak and did well. They purchased their homestead near Wiota Iowa and built their farm and raised their family. According to her obituary William and Jennie had six children:
John Allison (1854-1921) mar. 1. Louisa Gibler, 2. Eva Durr
Mary Elizabeth (1857-?) mar Thomas Whitmore (according to Jennie's obituary she married ____Stevens and lived in Green River Wy at the time of her death. I cannot find this marriage or her death date and burial)
Infant twins: dau Alva McClure (1862-1862)
son Elva McClure ( 1862-1863)
William (1870-1946) mar. Edith Welch
Charles Frank (1874-1954) mar. Louisa Ackerman
