Extensive research in Sonoran records and DNA results have shown that he is indeed the son of Gorgonio Adolfo "Adolfo" BARRETO and Apolonia Josefa "Josefa" LLANO. Adolph was born in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, the second child of Adolfo and Josefa Barreto. He was baptized 21 Nov 1889 in San Fernando parish in Guaymas. His parents were married 20 Jun 1886 in Guaymas. In 1902 Josefa and her paternal half sister Maria Flores LLANO fled Mexico with their children and settled in Douglas, Arizona. Both had altered their surnames which they and their children carried the rest of their lives. Both women stated they were widowed though neither was. I am aware of what the Arizona birth records state regarding the birth of Adolph and all four of his children and when and how they were "corrected".
