Lethel Griffin Anderson LENOIR Mrs. Lethel Griffin Anderson, 89, of Lenoir, was taken away from her earthly pain to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. Mrs. Anderson was born in Caldwell County to the late Hurley Jobe and Clementine Crump Griffin on March 25, 1922. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Anderson; four sisters, Hilda Houck, Ilene Chapman, Maud-enna Greene, and Lori Craig. Lethel was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to garden and cook Sunday dinners for her family. No one ever left her home hungry. Nanny was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived for her four boys, her husband, Carl, and her grandchildren. Her sweet personality and beautiful smile will be missed by many. Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at 2 p.m., in Pendry's Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
