Gloria B. Luebke, age 82, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center and formerly of rural Manitowoc, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Gloria was born March 5, 1928, in the town of Newton, daughter of the late Edwin and Elenora Haupt Krueger. She was given to the Lord in baptism and confirmed in her faith at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. On Dec. 17, 1957, she married Floyd Luebke at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1992. Gloria was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved music, singing, and enjoyed her hobbies of crafts, painting and crocheting.
Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law: Russell and Carolyn Plagemann, Wisconsin Dells, Renee Luebke, Alexandria, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law; Brenda Lee Luebke and Brian Crowley, rural Manitowoc; one brother: Sheldon Krueger, Newton; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Appie and Lloyd Geraldson, rural Manitowoc; three grandsons; Geoffrey Plagemann, Brandon Plagemann, and Samuel Luebke; special niece, Roxann Kadow; other niece, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd; one son, Kevin Luebke; one sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and Edward Ansorge.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church , 916 Pine St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Schossow and Rev. Nicholas Maglietto will officiate. Burial will take place on Tuesday at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m.
