BRAMWELL — Violet Edna Goins, 75, of P.O. Box 373, Bramwell, W.Va., passed away at Bluefield Regional Medical Center on Monday, November 1, 2011. An angel on Earth spread her wings and entered through the pearly gates to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Violet was born on Thursday, November 28, 1935 in Mercer County, W.Va. to the late Johnny Mitchem and Etta Bennington Mitchem. She had been a member of the Bramwell Wesleyan Church for the past 57 years. She had been a resident of Bramwell, W.Va. for the past 47 years.
Left here to cherish her memories are her husband of 55 years, Roger Goins of Bramwell, W.Va.; one daughter, Alinda Goins Shaffer of Winston-Salem, N.C.; sons, Roger Dean Goins and wife Sandy of Bramwell, W.Va., Perry Dale Goins and wife Angie of Princeton, W.Va.; her loving grandchildren who adored her, Rob Lockhart of Charlotte, N.C., Misty Lockhart of Walnut Cove, N.C., Brandon Goins of Bluefield, Va., Corey Goins of Bramwell, W.Va. who made his home with Roger and Violet, Chelsea Goins of Princeton, W.Va.; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Dalton, Nicatie "Ty," Mikayla, Brittany, Victoria "Tori" and Payton; mother-in-law, Velma M. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.Va. with the Reverend Gary Conklin officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, W.Va. where Rob Lockhart, Brandon Goins, Dean Miller, Donnie Goins, Danny Hughes and Corey Goins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Gibson and Don Perdue.
