She was a graduate of Port Jervis High School and worked as a dietician in St. Francis Hospital in Port Jervis for several years before moving to New Canaan. Linda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, and was a great lover of all animals, especially cats.
Survivors include her sister, Janet Dobbs, of Port Jervis, NY, her brother, Robert (Sheila) Cross of Albany, NY, sisters-in-law Carmella (Patsy) Totaro and Jean DiPanni, both of New Canaan. Nephews and nieces include Scott (Janet) Dobbs of Oak Ridge, NJ, Jason (Amanda) Dobbs of Sparrowbush, NY, Lisa Dobbs of Port Jervis, NY., Robert, Joseph, and Michael and David DiPanni, all of New Canaan, Gary Totaro of New Canaan, and Patricia (Don) Angelette of Humble, Tex.
She also is survived by several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her close friend, Christine McAuley, and her beloved cat, Chelsea.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
