Carol Moseley Ames
The Rev. Carol Moseley Ames, 67, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Franklin United Methodist Community of complications from diabetes.
She was born Feb. 26, 1944, the daughter of the late James Gwyn and Frances W. Moseley. Until recently, she had been a resident of Northampton, Mass.
Carol was a graduate of Stanford University, where she participated in the Stanford-in-Britain program and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In 1969, she received a bachelor of divinity degree with highest honors from Princeton Seminary. Following her 1975 ordination to the ministry in the Presbyterian Church USA, Carol served churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
In addition to her brother, James G. "Jay" Moseley and sister-in-law, Candace, of Franklin, Carol leaves her niece, Emily Moseley of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her nephew, James B. Moseley of Hanover, N.H.; as well as two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Services and burial will be private and at a later date.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements.
